Comment Spam

With increased traffic, comes increased spam. In an effort to combat comment spam I’ve installed a captcha plugin for Wordpress. I realize this is kind of a pain and I hope it won’t deter people from commenting since I like getting feedback and generating discussion. You can always register and then login before commenting, in which case you won’t see the captcha. Of course, I’ll delete any account if spam gets posted through it.

Comments Auto Shutoff

In an effort to avoid comment spam, I’m using a Wordpress plugin that shuts off comments after 28 days. Since traffic is increasing around here, I’ve upped that time to 60 days but if comment spam becomes a big problem I might put that back down.

If you want to comment on a post that has comments closed, simply email me and I’ll post again so a discussion can ensue. Thanks for your patience.

Wordpress 2.0.1 Upgrade

PSD Theme

I just wanted to mention that pliantalliance.org’s Wordpress theme is based on the “LastRegrets” theme by Frederic de Villamil aka neuro. I’ve made some minor mods to the theme to fit my tastes, but most of the work was neuro’s. Thanks!
