PSD In A Nutshell

In a nutshell, the point of pliant software development is this. There is no software development technique or set of techniques, that is both necessary and sufficient for successful software development. If you can think of one, let me know (but remember, I have counter-examples :) )
Impressionism Parallels
Jason Gorman has a draft of an article discussing the rise of post-agilism, or pliant software development or whatever you want to call it. Jason points out some striking similarities between the rise and evolution of the impressionist movement in the 19th century and the rise and apparent evolutionary path that Agile software development is on.
